About Kyle Crew

Meet Kyle, New Era’s Strategic Partner!

Kyle Crew has been enamored by all types of real estate for as long as he can remember. Kyle’s appreciation for land comes from visiting his grandparents in the New Era Community and his appreciation for historic architecture started in his hometown, Americus, Georgia. Luckily, Southwest Georgia has an abundance of beautiful land and buildings and before he could drive, Kyle was outlining farms to buy, drawing shopping center plans, and calling on historic buildings downtown to give his unsolicited ideas and opinions to whoever would listen!

Kyle feels fortunate to have known his idea of a good career early on, but he quickly learned real estate is a broad field. After moving from Americus to Statesboro to obtain a Finance degree from Georgia Southern, he immediately started working for a local property management company. He worked in property management throughout college and learned how to handle tenants, vendors, and owners. To learn the other facets of the real estate world, he interned every Summer at different companies in the Southeast. His internship in Charleston, South Carolina focused on development, especially historic redevelopment, and his internship in Birmingham, Alabama gave him a taste of the commercial brokerage and leasing world. Kyle jumped on a great opportunity and moved one week after graduation back to Birmingham for his first full-time job at Capstone Real Estate Investments. As a development associate, he traveled across the country assisting in the construction and development of student apartment complexes. During this time, he started Motley Crew Investments, a small investment firm, with his brother and grandfather that focuses on acquiring value-add investment properties and restoring historic buildings. After gaining years of invaluable experience in apartment development, Kyle joined Ironvest Partners, an entrepreneurial commercial real estate brokerage and investment firm, in downtown Birmingham. Ironvest continues to tie his many interests in real estate together seamlessly.

Kyle splits his time between Birmingham and Americus and works on brokerage and development deals everywhere in between. Kyle passionately serves the Birmingham community as the Junior Board Sponsorship Chair of the Glenwood Foundation, as a member of the Phoenix Club of Birmingham; actively volunteering for the Boys and Girls Club of Alabama, as a Big Brother Mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alabama. In South Georgia, Kyle is an active member of the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation and is a staunch advocate for downtowns, especially small towns. Kyle feels like real estate is a hobby, but if it is considered work, Kyle’s actual hobbies include playing tennis, lowering his golf score, traveling, great food, hunting, and hosting people.
